5 Reasons Why YOU Should Attend the June 12 Training

1. The most compelling reason for businesses to address the topic of an inclusive work environment is their bottom line!!!!!
2. Current research shows a clear correlation between an open & positive safe environment for all employees and the impact it has on productivity.
3. You will receive tangible and measurable tools / strategies that are geared toward ensuring that businesses in our valley do not have a deficit of trust among colleagues.
4. This trust undermines the effectiveness of the organization and can result in a toxic environment.
5  At the end of this training, you will be able to utilize the following formula to create this environment: ACCEPTANCE + JOY + SELF AFFIRMATION = PRODUCTIVITY

Think of this quote by Robert F. Kennedy as you get ready for this vital training; “I dream of things that are not and ask why not”.

Tim Bortner President/Founder of Full Spectrum Community Outreach

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Tim Bortner is currently a local business owner and in 2016 he graduated from Youngstown State University. While at YSU he focused on many areas, one of which was Graphic Design. He worked closely with YSUnity LGBTQIA+; Youngstown State University’s most visible and vocal GSA, for over 6 years holding different officer positions including President. Tim works very closely with the LGBTQIA+ population throughout the Mahoning Valley and is well known for his activism. Since graduating, he has kept strong relationships and networked with local LGBTQIA+ friendly businesses, and allies over the years. Tim helped to form BCC Full Spectrum Community Outreach Center because he saw a lack of services and resources for the LGBTQIA+ population in the tri-county and outlying areas. When he's not overseeing Full Spectrum's operations, he is busy at work running his very own traveling carnival company. Which travels in Ohio, Pennsylvanian and West Virginia between the months of May and November. While festivals and graphic design are careers for Tim, helping the LGBTQIA+ community is his passion.
